Now in its 19th edition the Victoria International Arts Festival is the longest-running festival of its kind on the islands. It offers a full five weeks of uninterrupted cultural activities, including orchestral, chamber and vocal concerts, choirs and big bands, lectures exhibitions, and master classes. The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, under the baton of the festival artistic director Joseph Vella, has become a yearly feature in this festival.
