The Teatru Aurora presents a new production of Puccini’s Tosca under the direction of Irish stage director Vivien Hewitt.

Set in Rome during the Napoleonic period, Tosca, an adaptation of a play by French dramatist Victorien Sardou, stands out for its dark themes – featuring depictions of torture, murder and suicide and one of the most legendary opera villains, the corrupt chief of police Scarpia – as well as some of Puccini’s finest arias.
