MPO BAROQUE CONCERT SERIES

The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra launches the new MPO Baroque Concert Series. These concerts will be held in the 19th century Robert Sammut Hall, Floriana, a former Wesleyan Methodist Church, built in a Neo-Gothic style designed by the British architect Thomas Mullet and completed in 1883. The church has been restored to it's former glory by the Restoration Unit, and now houses the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.

The first concert on the 9th of February, features the works of JS Bach, CPE Bach and Vivaldi.

The Board of Directors of the National Orchestra Ltd welcomes suggestions, ideas or proposals for concerts, productions and/or collaborations from artistes, entrepreneurs, concert organisers, the local business community, local councils, governmental or non-governmental organisations and any interested party for possible consideration in the programming of forthcoming Malta Philharmonic Orchestra seasons.
