The first edition of the MPO’s Malta International Conducting Masterclass and Competition, led by Michalis Economou, comes to a close with a concert led by the competition’s finalists, chosen by secret vote by the orchestra’s own musicians.

The finalists will be conducting the MPO in a concert featuring three great classical symphonies – Mozart’s last, the Jupiter, as well as Beethoven and Brahms’ second symphonies – at Robert Samut Hall.

The competition’s winner will be invited to conduct the MPO in a concert in Malta at a later date.
